Dark Marauder Poster

Don't get me wrong. I still have plenty of homework. But now that our prep-for-mid-terms and mid-term weeks are over, we get a small relief moment before diving into finals.
Lately I've been itching to digital paint full on for myself. I explored a whole slew of stuff and decided to draw, for me, what felt right.

One of my old problems with a lot of my Bright and Brilliant pieces is the fact that my computer tricks me into making everything dark since it's screen is abnormally light. With this one I wanted to learn how to use lights so that things can still be dark, but visible. And of course, that dramatic flair that I'm starting to enjoy more and more. I also did at least 1/4th of it (including the last part) on school computers with the screen brightness on varying levels. I'm hoping that will help. I think it's an improvement, though I was starting to get it in the last two Bright and Brilliant Pages.

Also the Dark Marauder's skin seems to get darker these days. It doesn't matter though. I like that on him. I have line arts of the other characters, but I don't know if I'll have time to color them... this one took awhile. Then again, this one was the 'learning experience' if you will. Now if you'll excuse me, I have homework to do.
